Lea is an articling student at Prowse Barrette, bringing a practical and grounded perspective to her legal work. Prior to starting her articles, she gained several years of experience as a paralegal and litigation assistant, where she developed a steady hand in managing the day-to-day complexities of legal files. Her background includes assisting on matters within criminal and insurance litigation.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Modern Language Studies from the University of Alberta, where she also completed a Translation Certification in German. She later moved abroad to pursue her legal education, earning her law degree from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. This time spent living and studying overseas allowed her to merge her professional goals with her love for travel—a passion she continues to pursue whenever the opportunity arises.
Outside of the office, Lea remains active in her community through consistent volunteer work. She is particularly dedicated to weekly children’s programs and local summer camps, where she enjoys supporting youth development.
